I’m pre med. I want to go to med school. I’ve worked hard this semester. Yet it truly pains me to see some posts on Dear Blueno and the NO universal pass page that my peers have written about their reasons against universal pass. Since when have we become so selfish? UP is not about choice, it really is about privilege. Please think about that suite mate from NYC whose grandfather is denied from the hospital, that classmate who doesn’t know when she can go home, or that friend whose anxiety is taking over him. There’s a spectrum of hardships, and I’m sure you are experiencing them too. Please don’t add to these already difficult times. UP with distinction options for everyone. "
