To the pre-meds who are against Universal Pass: If you're not willing to sacrifice your grades and maybe a little bit of your competitiveness as an applicant in order to help people who are suffering from a global pandemic, do you really expect med schools to believe that you'd be willing to put your life on the line one day to help your patients? Med schools aren't going to expect you to get A's in this time of crisis, but they WILL expect you to behave with compassion - compassion towards yourself, your peers, and your community. So relax, take a breath, and look at the big picture: there are traits that go into being a good doctor that don't show up in a GPA."
