(To satisfy those who are worried about grad/med/law school) Why not do a modified S/NC that’s A/S/NC? We already kinda do that with S w distinctions. This way, if you’re not in an environment conducive to doing as well as you could on campus, it’s S/NC, but those who can devote to their studies (financially stable, relatively stress free, stable home life) can do so with the payout they desire. "
