Dear ,
We hope this message finds you healthy and safe in the face of this ongoing global health emergency.
As you likely read in her announcement on Monday, President Paxson has convened a Healthy Fall 2020 Task Force to develop an effective public health plan for the safe reopening of campus in fall 2020.
In light of the work of this task force, we are postponing Phase Two (Housing Selection) of the Housing Lottery, which would have otherwise happened the week of April 20, to a summer date to be determined.
Our goal in postponing is to maintain the flexibility needed to respond to this evolving situation and ensure that all plans for fall housing are based on the recommendations that emerge from the Healthy Fall 2020 Task Force. We will provide an update to eligible students as soon as more information is available based on the work of the task force.
In the meantime, please be assured that this postponement will not change any student’s
Housing Lottery status. The Office of Residential Life will maintain all information submitted to date regarding lottery group status and lottery eligibility. No action is required on your part at this
time.
We hope that you are doing well wherever you are, and we look forward to the time when we will be in community together again.
Best regards,
Office of Residential Life
