“I always wanted to study abroad but couldn't due to problems in my personal
life/mental health. I decided to go abroad this semester, my senior spring. My twin brother and I took part in SIT's Nepal program. We were there for a month and a half before Nepal announced it would virtually close its borders. SIT evacuated students from the country on March 20, our birthday. When I chose to go abroad this
semester, I knew I would miss our on parts of a senior spring, but did not think I would not get to see my classmates and friends again.”
