The John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage's ongoing lunch-time speaker series, Public Humanities Now, runs through the summer. Join us as we host the Director of the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Scott Stullen, for his presentation, "The Museum We Closed Is Not the Museum We Reopen." Stullen was the first Curator of Audience Experiences and Performance at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and Director of the McKnight Artist Fellowship for Photographers and Project Director of mnartists.org at the Walker Art Center before he joined the Philbrook. In his talk, he'll discuss the challenges facing museums on multiple fronts, from an ongoing global pandemic, calls to address systematic racism, long-standing labor inequity and looming financial shortfalls. All are welcome to join -- please visit the event page for the zoom address and password for this talk. The 30-minute presentation will be followed by 30 minutes for questions and discussion.
