COVID-19 is intensifying the daily impacts of systemic racism on already vulnerable communities of color. CSREA's new virtual conversation series, "Underlying Conditions," features experts speaking candidly on the multifaceted impact of the pandemic. In episode 2, Professor Tricia Rose (Africana Studies) talks to Professor Nicole Gonzalez Van Cleve (Sociology) about the pandemic's impact on incarcerated people, the historical culture of cruelty in jails, and the ways in which we might help.
