And now I find that some of my anti-UP friends are very upset that somebody who is scraping by academically and worrying for 10-12 hours of the day might end up with a Passing grade, a crumb 'more' than you think they deserve. OH MY GOD, the universe is collapsing. An unprecedented economic, global crisis....someone might be getting a FEW Ps on their transcript for two months?

OH MY WORD, will the Universe survive?

How absurd and wrong is that? What kind of value system is that?

Meanwhile, these very same folks had no problem a couple of years ago profiting off their advantages all the time at Brown. But when it comes to low-income (and arguably, all incomes of Brown students under mental strain from this pandemic)-- maybe some of them earning or having a ""P"" grade-- we gotta strip that out.

...These poor students should get less. They're down here. They don't deserve. They don't eat. They don't pay rent. They don't go to the doctor. They're somehow inferior-- but that was addressed. But some of our Non-UPass students still haven't given up... And now HORROR OF HORROS, for two months, students might have a few ""P""s on their transcript. Oh my word. The world is ending because we give these students a few crumbs.
