Can’t believe we’re at the point in which establishment politicians, billionaires, and the president are now claiming that the public health measures we’re taking are too damaging to the economy, and that it might be worth it to let millions die so that the economy doesn’t suffer.
WORKERS ARE THE ECONOMY. NOT the stock market.
They’re willing to throw the lives of working people away only because they think they’ll be safe with their quality private insurance and expensive personal doctors, and because they don’t need to go to work in order to make ends meet and pay the bills.
Why are countries like the UK guaranteeing wages for the duration of the pandemic whist we’re trying to justify killing people just so rich assholes can continue getting richer?
My parents, grandparents and friends are not going to die for your fucking stock portfolio."
