Hey all! Here's a petition concerning the University response to the Coronavirus. I think there should be some student input on the decisions made by the University. Please give a read and sign on if you think this is an important issue!

Petition text:
"Petition concerning Brown's COVID-19 Response
Dear Brown University Administration:

In recent days universities such as Princeton, Columbia, and Harvard have chosen to make classes online, limit social interaction on their campuses, and in the case of Harvard, told students to go home due to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
In this context, it’s clear the Brown administration is considering making a similar type of decision. Faculty have already been asked to prepare contingency plans to make classes available online, with some professors already choosing to make lectures optional, and the University has already banned events of over 100 people.
These decisions are proactive and in-line with best mitigating the spread of the disease. If/when COVID-19 spreads to Providence, taking these measures at Brown would be appreciated and encouraged.
But, the disease has not yet affected the Brown community in a significant way. The administration should understand that preemptively making all classes virtual and encouraging students stay home after Spring Break would have a huge impact on the academic, social, financial and educational life of all students at Brown.
A decision to close campus completely would also have huge impacts on low-income and marginalized students and students coming from countries and communities that they cannot return to safely. Students would bear huge financial, social, and emotional burdens.
Communications from the University say that a “Core Crisis Team” has been meeting daily to consider the impact on Brown and its daily operations. Are students involved in this crisis team? If not, we request that student voices be added to the Crisis Team, so that the voices of students—those most affected by changes in campus life—can be heard.

Sincerely,

	the undersigned"</text>

can someone explain why sports games are still going on under the new coronavirus policies? like unless they are capping the number of people they let in, there could easily be over 100 people at sporting events. this just seems unfair to other student organizations, especially those that aren't allowed to host conferences or performances</text>
